REVIVAL: A Faith-Based Indie Film

After a friend’s suicide, a withdrawn high school senior confronts how disconnected he’s become from his life and loved ones.

I’m raising funds to produce Revival, a feature film set in North Phoenix about a withdrawn high school senior forced to confront his life after a friend’s suicide. It’s a story about grief, avoidance, and the moment you choose whether to stay numb or step into accountability, responsibility, and a relationship with Jesus.

This story matters right now. Over half of Gen Z identifies as Christian, yet many young believers feel unseen by the faith-based films available to them. Too often, those stories feel shallow, over-polished, or disconnected from real life. There is a real hunger for films that take faith seriously while telling honest, grounded, well-crafted stories about pain, doubt, responsibility, and transformation. Revival is made for that audience.

This film comes from lived experience. I’ve seen and felt how young people learn to avoid pain instead of facing it, how faith can feel distant when life becomes overwhelming. I’ve lived around that silence. Revival is rooted in it, and in the cost of staying there.

We plan to produce the film with a disciplined, professional approach by partnering with experienced crew, shooting on location in North Phoenix, and carrying the project through post-production and distribution with intention and care. This campaign helps fund both production and post-production so the film can be completed at the level it deserves.

I’m Evan, a filmmaker based in Southern Arizona, and Revival is the most personal project I’ve ever taken on. If this story resonates with you, I’d be honored to have your support in bringing it to life.
